"A Prayer to Our Heavenly Father"

[A Prayer for the Victims of Hurricane Helene:  Before we share this final post in our seminar video clip series with A Prayer to Our Heavenly Father, it is only fitting that we include here a prayer for all of those who have been impacted by the recent hurricane.]

Father, we know that you hear our prayers . . . our cries . . . as it says in Jeremiah 33:3, "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." We call to you right now and we ask that you would reveal these great and mighty things to all of those who are suffering and grieving. Most importantly, please reveal Yourself, Your very heart of love and comfort to all who need it so much at this time. Please meet each person in tangible ways . . . ways that only you know in each situation. Let all of us "love our neighbors as we love ourselves," and be your servants in this critical time. Please bring your healing and restoration that is so needed. In the Name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, Amen.

We have come to the end of our seminar video clips on The Missing Commandment: Love Yourself. We have come full circle back to the premise of our ministry - loving what God loves. We must love ourselves just as much as God loves us and really likes us. And then we must turn around and love others the same way.

As we close in prayer, we hope you have discovered these truths about yourself:

I can begin to love myself by being gentle to myself, being grace-filled toward myself, being responsible, caring, and attentive to myself. In this way, I can grow and discover who I am, which is who God says I am. From this place of identity, the Father will unveil my destiny, the plans he has for me. As this transformation takes place, there will be a new set of freedoms that will begin to evolve within my spirit - where I can begin to discover:

I am free to make choices that bring me life beyond mere survival.

I am free to respect myself enough to say no when that is best for me.

I am free to make mistakes and not be perfect.

I am free to relax and rest without feeling that I have to be busy to approve of myself.

I am free to forgive myself and not hold any part of myself in contempt.

I am free to feel my emotions, work through my emotions, and not shame my emotions.

I am free from being responsible for the feelings of others.

I am free from being a fixer, a savior, or a peacekeeper.

I am free to embrace change and growth within me.

I am free to love myself and receive love because I have value and worth.

I am free to be fully me.
